Review: Timotei Precious Oils Shampoo & Conditioner

Hey everyone! So first of all, I want to say sorry for my sudden disappearance off of the blogland, it is due to me having an exam time, and being busy with uni life, but no, the posts won't stop coming! There will be a little less of them in following two weeks, and after that I promise, I'll get back to my regular blogging "routine".
For today's post...yet another haircare product, and this time something that people clearly overhype about, but eh lets just get to the point.
Price range: Affordable.
Hair condition before using the products: natural color, dry ends, normal to oily roots.
The actual review: I've used both of this products and clearly, for the price (they're  ridiculously cheap) these babies surely work. Shampoo leaves my hair looking fresh and shiny for a great amount of time and is more gentle to my hair in general than any other shampoo I've tried. BUT (huh, always with that but, ya know) while I really really love the shampoo, I don't really like the conditioner. It's obviously not bad, but at the same time it always left me thinking and feeling that it's just not enough for my hair as it didn't soften enough. But then again, for those who don't have such dry hair ends as me, or dry hair in general, this conditioner can be your holy grail.
Hair condition after using both products: slightly better.
8/10.
Have you tried any of Timotei products? Did they work for you? xx

Schauma Keratin Strong Rebuilding Conditioner review!

Hello everyone! Today's post is just a quick review of the hair product that I've tried about two months ago - yet another conditioner from Schauma (Okay, I tried too many of them).

Price range: affordable.
Hair condition before using this product: natural color, dry ends due to using heat (hair straightener).

I've grabbed this bottle for it's claim to "reduce the hairbreakage" and from what I've seen while using this product, is that my hair became softer and less damaged. Not completely, but using this conditioner after my shampoo, made a difference, which is quite good for the price it has. The only thing that set me off, was really strong parfume smell that it has (Yes, it stays on your hair for days), so I recommend taking a sniff before you buy it. To summ it up, I wasn't disappointed by this product, but I won't buy again, due to its scent. 7/10.

P. S. Have you tried this conditioner before? Did you like it?

We just didn't work out #1

Hey everyone!

Today's post  is an official start of one the few new rubrics / series of posts that I'll be doing this year and hopefully even longer.

"We just didn't work" will be my special post series featuring any beauty things that did not do the job for me, and including small reviews for each of them. I won't do this rubric monthly, as thankfully 90% of products I buy I end up liking enough not to put them into "worsest thing ever" pile.

However for now, we have three "winners" here, so let me tell you why we just did not become friends.

1. Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream.

Yes, yes I know, so many girls like this product. I used to like it too. When I first bought it (it was my second attempt with BB creams, the first one I ever used was the one from Garnier), I just fell in love. I liked how it adjusted with my skin color, how light it felt and the coverage was enough for my face. I do tend to have breakouts every now and then, and mostly all I need BB cream / foundation for is to cover the postacne spots, even my skintone and hide my pores a little bit.

The tube lasted me about 6 months since I used a small amount each time and not every day. I had a chance to test it during summer, autumn and winter time and let me just tell you... At summer this thing is unwearable. It melts off and becomes an oily mess. Same thing happened during warm autumn days. The only times when it stayed well on my face was when it was cold outside, but even if you have this on and stay outside all the time, exactly after three hours it will become a mess, sink into your pores, make them large, and basically look like you applied your foundation in a very dark room.
The trick is when you first apply it (using a brush, fingers, blender - anything), it looks heavenly. But after few hours, believe me, it looks so bad, that I want to cry and wash my face straight away.
Also, it did not help with my acne at all. Useless.

2. Vishy Eau Thermale Water.

I got this one in a Vishy face care gift box my mother bought me. It contained of their Normaderm 3 in 1 face wash, this water and Normaderm moisturizing cream. Before this one, I've never used thermal waters before, and I am not really a fan of them (and micellar waters too, sorry). But since I had it, it would be a crime not to use it, especially as it claimed to protect my skin and help to heal it; plus I got this bottle in summer, and it was nice to have something to spray on my skin when it felt dry. Also, I am not sure if I've got it in travel size or regular one..probably travel size, but anyway, I used it up and you know what? Yeah, nothing. NO, wait, not nothing, eventually I noticed that every time I used it, an hour later my skin would feel even more dry than before.

Really, good job, I mean, isn't it a miracle - a water that makes you feel dry?

3. Maybelline Colorama nailpolish "Polka dots".

When they first came out, every girl in my town was so hyped, especially about this certain color I own. I couldn't find it anywhere, literally any store I went to, had them all sold out, but as you can see, I managed to get one and I was SO happy. It seemed cool and unlike any other nailpolish I ever seen.

First problem came with applying it. It was really difficult to get it look on my nails the way it looked in the bottle and when I achieved it, my nails had like...3 messy coats of this nailpolish on. It looked cool, however, the next time I just used 1 or 2 coats, even though it wouldn't come off the same deep blue. It was one hell of a mission to get rid of this nailpolish as well. It just would not come off, no matter how hard I rubbed my nail, and one day I was like "You know what, I don't want to use this one for now, I got tired of it and how heavy it feels". So I closed the bottle tightly and hid it in my collection. After two weeks I reached for it again, and what a surprise - it dried the heck up, even though it is STILL more than half full, and no, it's not due to leaving it open, I closed so well, that after it dried, it wouldn't open at all.

To compare it....I have a nailpolish from old Colorama range, in a shade 120 "Urban turquoise" (I had other collors as well, but I've literally used them all up) and it is ONE YEAR old. Yes, it dried up a little, but still works really well on my nails. As for Polka Dots - complete fail.

That's it with my "We just didn't work out" post this time, I hope you enjoyed it!

P. S. Have you tried any of the products mentioned above? Did they work for you? xx

Garnier Ultra Doux (Avocado and Karite) hair care series review!

A quick review post for today!

Hair condition before using: normal, with slightly dry ends and oily roots. Typical?

About the shampoo: too watery, does not clean my hair good enough, gives absolutely no volume or shine, however, leaves my hair soft. Maybe it will do the work for super dry hair, but for mine...nope. NOT buying again.

About the conditioner: again, not thick enough consistency for my liking, for such a low price - it does the job, softens my hair, makes it easier to brush, has a nice scent, but all of this works if you use this conditioner...as a hair mask, by leaving it on your hair for 3-5 minutes. NOT gonna buy again.

About the mask: quite nice and buttery, works for my hair, lasts a long time, currently is my favorite budget mask. WILL most likely buy again.

Hair condition after using: didn't notice any mindblowing changes. 5/10.

Have you ever used any of these products? Did you like them?

Schauma Fresh It Up! Shampoo Review

What does it claim to do: basically to keep your roots fresh and less oily and for the tips of your hair to become less dry. If you want to find out more about this product from their official site, click here.

Hair condition before using this shampoo:
NOT dyed aka natural color, medium length.
Hair type - normal to oily, with slightly dry tips and more oily roots. I wash my hair every other day, sometimes 2.

Testing time: 4 weeks, the bottle completely emptied.

Actual testing experience: Not gonna lie, when I first seen this bottle, I was like "OMG so cute", because it's so girly and definitely catches one's attention. Next, I was surprised after reading what this shampoo claims to do, because to me, you can't create something that will dry your roots and soften your hair tips at the same time. But since no other shampoo looked appealing enough, and I had to buy one that day to simply have something to wash my hair with, I gave this one a try.
First of all, I loved the smell, it's fresh, and kinda all spring/summer time-ish to me. It also did wash my hair good enough. After two weeks I was surprised to admit that my hair indeed stays fresh for much longer time, woah. BUT. I've, of course, used conditioner or a hair mask with it, and if I wouldn't use them, but only this shampoo instead, yes, it would dry my hair. Not super dry, believe me I tested shampoos, that were drying life out of my hair and this is not one from that category. However, I think, this shampoo would be good for people with more oily hair, or for those, who, just like me, use other hair products to soften their hair.

Hair condition after using this shampoo: much fresher look + shine and nice scent.

Do I recommend this product and will I buy it again? Yes, but not to people with originally dyed or dry hair and yes, I will most likely buy it again. xx

Girl And Headphones: mini review

Greetings, blogverse! Today I bring you not a typical girly post, however, I believe that if you were to think what's the thing that almost every girl uses these days (despite makeup preferences, age, personal style and etc.), that would be earphones.

Not ashamed to admit, I can live without makeup and cute clothes, but living without this gadget is like a hell for me. I use headphones pretty much every day (music is my best friend) and normally they last me a long time, from 6 months to one year.

My beloved pink headphones from Pioneer lasted for about a year, and they were amazing quality, with a nice (I think) price (I got them for around 15$ last year). So when they suddenly broke (not on their own, it was completely my fault), I was super sad. I would totally repurchase them, but turned out their price went up, and I didn't want to spend that much money, especially seeing much cheaper headphones from other brands.

When it comes to headphones, me, or excuse me, my ears.. are super picky. Playing music is not enough for me, I have to hear all the tones, all the lyrics and voice properly (with a little bit of bass preferably) and there must be no foreign noises, that might hurt my hearing. So the journey of searching for perfect earphones...ended after 3 months! Looking around and seeing people listening music (in public transport, for example) got me like "To hell with it, I will just buy random headphones today, end of" and after morning classes, I run to a nearest store.

AND found these cuties, Philips SHE3590LB. I tested them in a store, and fell in love. Price was around 9$.
They are so nice, feminine looking, and with a clear sound (most important), that you just can't dislike them. So if you are looking for new headphones, definitely check these out.

Also let me know if you would like to see more of headphones reviews, I've used different ones, and I will be happy to help you out. xx

BEAUTY Review: L'Oreal False Lash Papillon mascara

Previously I've already tried another mascara from L'Oreal, and that was the Telescopic one (in golden tube), I think that was my first mascara ever and I really loved it. But since I like trying out new mascaras, this time (after years of using mascaras from other brands) I decided to return my attention to L'Oreal and buy this one.

First impression: I will be honest, it was bad. Like, so bad. Firstly I felt like it was too watery, didn't define my eyelashes, didn't curl them and looked all kind weird.

Later: I decided to try figuring out a way to apply this mascara. The brush was pretty fine to work with and the product inside dried a little bit after a week of using, it kinda started looking better on my lashes.

BUT.

It made my eyes red after few hours of being on.
To apply this and achieve the "butterfly wings" aka make my eyelashes look the way I wanted to - defined and full (yet still clumpy a little), I had to spend like 2-3 coats and 30 minutes!
Side note: I don't claim myself a mascara applying pro, but previously I've tested more than 20 different mascaras and none of them was that hard to cooperate with.

AND ON TOP OF THAT...

It got dry after like... 3 months, and I didn't use every single day, just so you know. And as it got dry, now after applying I would get black dots all over my undereye area and even on my cheeks.

Honestly, I was relieved when I bought another mascara and now that I created this review, I can happily throw this one away.

Never again. AS FOR RATE, 1/5.

P.S. I believe, there are girls out there, who love this mascara and find it working, but honestly, for its price, we should've gotten a product with much better quality.

Send me your opinions about this mascara, I am curious. xx

REVIEW: MaXFactor "False Lash Effect" mascara (in brown)

Here is the beauty product of the day and my number one mascara for fall and winter time. The packaging is pretty mysterious, if you ask me...too plain.

Now to why it made its way into my favorites list. I know a lot of girls want their mascara to give their lashes full dramatic effect, but in my case, I don't want my lashes to look false, instead I want to keep them as natural looking as possible by adding a little bit of volume or length. Before buying this one, I have been switching between Maybelline mascaras (and they seemed fine, if only they didn't show my already dark eyelashes so black and didn't get dry so quick), but
then I thought "time to try something else, girl" and my choice was picking brown mascara instead of black.
I searched high and low, through so many "affordable" brands until I came across this one, pretty much the only brown mascara I found. I've never used anything from MaxFactor brand before, and I was kind of scared to give this one a try, but since the first time I used it - I fell in love.
This one lasted for 6-7 months until it got dry and there wasn't much of a product left, since I used only this mascara on my eyelashes, usually in 2 coats. It does give volume (I loved the thick plastic brush), but somehow manages to give me much required "I did not put 4 coats of mascara to achieve this volume and definition" look, which I think is great for when you are wearing a natural makeup look, or even for those, who don't really like using mascara at all.

It really does give full natural looking eyelashes effect, as stated on the packaging.

So far, 9/10.
