YES OR NO to school dresscode or why even?

By tomorrow morning majority of schools in my city will officially start working and I already seen some "excited" faces around, especially in our big shopping mall area, as most of us start new school year with some new clothing pieces.
So all of the back to school hype got me drowning in feels, because I graduated few years ago and currently am a student in university...which means it's completely different from my school days, even though I still study and all that jazz.
And then you know, I felt relieved. I can't say I loved school or hated it, it was a mixture of both and maybe that's why I miss just a little. But the reason I felt relieved, was because I remembered that I no longer have to follow our school dresscode rules. ...Smells like freedom.
Let me tell you a little about these rules. We did not have uniforms, but our school required us to wear only something black and white, preferably close to uniform or business style, and can I say... I HATED IT. By the time I graduated, my closet was 90% white and black cloth, and when I no longer needed them, I threw out most of it. Yeah, this thing still irritates me.
The whole point is, the only purpose of that dresscode was to force SOME teens in our school to look more classy - less trashy. Most of us, didn't even need that.

I, personally, was chubby kid through my 14-17 years and I was not confident enough to wear skirts, dresses and leggings. ANY kind of them. And having already not so many choices to dress up, I mostly played around with colors and patterns. So yeah, when I realized it was no longer allowed, I was pissed. To this day I still am. My opinion did not change.

And my opinion is that forcing someone to dress like a nun, will not make them one. Clothes do not define us, nor change. If someone acts vulgar or does inappropriate thing - it is their choice, and if you want them to become classy, you know what, there are these fine things called EDUCATION AND MORAL. So:

1. Why should I be "punished" when SOMEONE ELSE lacks it?
and
2. How wearing uniform or anything that kind can stop someone from being what they are?

Our society prefers "virginizing sl*ts" and blaming virgins, because oh no you cannot wear tops that show your arms, since all male population around you will be blinded with sexual thoughts.
Maybe it's because of them, you know.

Cause honestly, I can't see how a t-shirt is something you can't wear to your classes, because I am sorry but it's super hot outside and I would like to feel comfortable enough to actually pay attention to my lessons.

Another thing is uniforms supposed to make students feel equal, but honestly, that doesn't work either. Difference will show up in other ways. Always does, especially if some want people to see it.

Long story short, here is the moral of this story: classy cloth + trashy behavior = still not classy, nope.

Life math, people. All about math. xx

5 things to look forward to this fall / autumn

As summer is living it's last days this year, I see a lot of people already whining about autumn coming up, and I hope, I am not the only one who actually looks forward to it. Honestly...I used to dislike it too. Because school (oh no, I used the-word-that-should-not-be-used), and cold nights and days getting shorter. I used to depress myself that way, until I actually realized two things.
First, you cannot stop autumn or any other season from coming.
Second, you can, however, have fun, despite whichever time of the year it is.
It's all about concentrating on the bright side, people.
And to those of you, who don't see that side yet, here is 5 things I personally always look forward too, every autumn.

1. Fall trends. I realize, this post is gonna be more girly, than I wanted it too, but yeah...
I don't know what about you, but I always feel like fall time is the best time to renew your wardrobe or try a new style, thanks to the weather, which allows you to play a bit with your clothing, instead of having to throw on the lightest thing possible to avoid sweating. Ew.

2. Tea and sweets. Now, you gonna be like "Tea? How did it end up in this post, Alice?' and here is why: I just love myself a nice cup of tea, and not just regular black one. There are tons of mixes (my personal favorite - green tea with rose petals) you could try to warm yourself up at cool autumn evenings, relaxing in your cosy bed, reading an interesting book or writing your own...
And of course, we cannot forget about sweets, which I find kinda too "heavy" for summer time and I usually go for icecream instead (don't judge, I am a weirdo).
And don't worry, diet queens, dark chocolate is still acceptable for those, who try to stay fit:)

3. TV shows. I honestly, have no idea who decides to put all season premieres during september/october, but that one is a genius. Seriously, they deserve an award, because favorite TV shows returning can be a great reason to be less frowny when autumn arrives. As for me, here is top 3 TV shows (new season premieres) I am waiting for this autumn.
1)   2)

3)

If you never heard of these shows or never gave them a try, just click on a picture to see what's the hype about.

4. Halloween. Lets be honest, you love that holiday. Despite the way you spend it - in your bed watching horrors or at your friend's party in a crazy homemade (or not) costume or with your crew gathered around a bonfire to share some scary stories.

5. New experiences. This one is basically the thing you should look forward too any day, because...life is about making memories, about going with new opportunities while you can.

It's all about finding yourself, because you've got only one lifetime to do it. xx

HOW TO: Run a Twitter account / My twitter life story

Shame on me (or not, hm?), but I have discovered Twitter back in 2009, and I only used to go there to check on what's my favorite celebrities were up to. For quite few months it was fine for me that way, and I had no wish to join said site myself. Until one day when I, after roaming twitterverse all anonymously and spotting a handful of fun accounts run by pretty much ordinary teenagers, decided to give it a try.
I shall be honest, I knew pretty much nothing about twitter and it was also my first time using any social media at all. It was like landing on another planet - everything seemed strange, yet interesting.
My very first twitter account was completely personal and consisted of my thoughts or quotes that inspired me as I was all into writing at that time, I did not communicate much nor followed many accounts, my mentions mostly remained empty and I did not feel any concerned about it. I did not put much effort into my twitter account and as result, by the time I deleted it, it had something around 110 followers.
Why deleted?
I decided to use Twitter in another and for that I created a new account. Started all new.
What was that account for? It was made by me to join Twitter Roleplay community. I LOVED the idea of being able to write a story for a character I like and even getting to present it to whole world itself. In process, I've discovered two more positive sides of roleplaying:firstly, interacting with native English writers has improved my English; secondly, it was a great way to practice my writing skills and motivated me to start working on my own book.
There were bad things too. A lot of it. From simple negative comments and trolling to being cyberbullied. I passed through a lot and never looked back.

There is one thing, which a lot of roleplayers like mentioning - "Never get attached to things that happen in RP, since none of it is real".
I say - BULLSH*T.
How can a human being not be emotionally involved into something they are doing? Just as music or dancing or taking photos or fashion, roleplay is a hobby, something you do for yourself and a little bit of your soul will slip in there anyway.
I have been RPing (roleplaying) for more than 3 years and I never regretted a single thing. My account grew with me and even though the number of followers never meant much to me, I was shocked nonstop ever since it passed 1000 mark.
And nowadays I can say, I figured some helpful tips for those, who want to join twitter for either personal blogging or roleplay.

1. Love your account. I am serious. Truth is, none of us enjoys doing what they do not love. So fall in love with it first. Cherish it, since it is your creation.

2. Be literate. Majority of twitter users prefer English, but if you are in no way friendly with it, I suggest using your native language. Don't constantly use text talk or a ton of emojis, as it's highly irritating for your readers/followers.

3. Write about things that interest you, don't just blindly follow trends.

4. Don't abuse RT (ReTweet) button. It is used to share tweets you like / agree with, with your followers, but constantly RTing stuff and never posting your own is a way to lose your devoted followers.

5. Befriend people. Socialize. Try mentioning people yourself and replying to those, who mention you.

6. Ignore "haters". Seriously, as my friend says, "I ain't a dollar to be liked by everyone" aka there ALWAYS will be someone, who dislikes you. It's normal. Do you like everyone you know in your real life? I bet, not. Best solution in times, when you are under hater attack is to ignore (twitter block button will be your saver, haha) and trust me, if people get no response to their negativity - eventually they stop. Why? Because they get bored. And leave to find someone who is weak or silly enough to start a banter with them. Drama queens crave attention and audience. So give them neither in your case.

7.Try to stay positive yourself. If you are feeling down or even depressed, try not to post much, since your feelings affect your writing and sad truth is, people don't really like reading depressive tweets ALL the time.

8. Post inspirational quotes / picture quotes if your muse took a break. It's a great add to your account image + way to motivate and inspire everyone, yourself included.

I guess that's about it? I went all crazy and made this post longer than planned, heh. If you need any more help or have any questions on this topic, just leave me a comment bellow! xx

10 typical young adult book things

To be honest, this post was inspired by a funny conversation me and my friend (both huge nerds) had not so long ago and that's why I decided to voice my opinion on YA (young adult) books in such way.
Please note, I am a proud book lover and even though some of these things I am going to list bellow, may make me look like a "hater", I do still love reading these and this post is mostly for fun and laughs.
So here is 10 things you can find in every YA book.

1. Awkward heroine with some weird name (majority of leading characters are females, so yeah). Why awkward? Hmm. Maybe because our typical YA book heroine is always thinking of herself as either "too shy / never admits she is hot, though she knows she is" (..what?) or "so freaking ordinary and boring that nobody notices her". She never uses makeup until her best friend decides to force her into some style change.

2. No parents. I don't know if this is some trick many authors are using to write more of other scenes or whatnot, but usually our awkward heroine has either one parent or both, who don't tend to pay much attention to what their kids are up to.....or something happens and poor parents die (usually in the beginning of the story).

3. SUPER-DUPER SEXY guy, who makes all the panties in the town drop (including our awkward heroine and her best friend, though best friend always steps away and finds herself a boyfriend like...ASAP). Usually a hot newbie in high school or almost coronated high school prom king, looks all badass and tough, but in the end of the story love turns him into a melted icecream, because OF COURSE he (ignoring the rest of woman population) falls for our oh-so-ordinary, not-pretty-but-looking-fine girl. Duh.

4.Intense love and flirting. All these "can't look at him, heart beating so fast", "I love you so so much that it hurts", "I feel sparks through my skin every time we touch" and etc. Maybe it's just me...or maybe it's too much.

5. YOU DA CHOSEN ONE. Now this mostly applies for fantasy/supernatural or utopian YA books, where main character usually ends up chosen as whole world's savior and they never know about it until one day when they randomly discover that "magic" exists.
orrrr.....

or 6. When the super-duper sexy guy, the girl falls for, is a part of supernatural world and yes, you guessed it right - these two can't be together. (They will though, cause love beats all, ya know.)

7. The love triangle. Every-freakin-where. (Thumbs up for writers, which don't use that plot add in their books)

8. Antagonist characters being all like "I am so evil with no reason" or "I am not really evil, just idk, hanging there and doing bad stuff".

9. All about sex. I remember I've came across one teen drama book, which basically had an interesting plot but main heroine thinking about having sex with her crush/boyfriend or trying to do so in almost every chapter, had me thinking to quit reading that story. Seriously, teens are NOT that horny.

10.  Some sort of school dances or an upcoming prom night. I think this needs no explanation, and appears in every other YA story.

So that's it, I hope this made you smile and feel free to comment if you came up with anything that could be added to this list:)

Hello, stranger!

My name is Alice, I am young and as most of us, ...I am lost.
Every day, I have to make decisions.. and either sure or not, but I make them. Truth is you never know if it's the right turn you are taking, until you see where the road leads you to.
Today your road leaded you here - to my blog. You probably wonder what is it about or why did this girl end up here, what's the reason behind this? To be honest, I don't know.
I just love writing about things I like or things that capture my attention (just like a crazy shopoholic notices pretty red heels on the stand, first minute she walks into the store? hah). It is the only passion I have, except, maybe, my undying love for chocolate.
But words have no power, until they are seen or heard, and just like everybody else, I want to be heard. Silence is not the best company, you know?
This blog is simply my way to fight the silence, a place where I can speak about my likes and hope that somewhere in this world....there are other weird girls just like me, who think same way:)
I really hope you enjoy your time here, and stick around with me on this journey.
Kinda feels like going down the rabbit hole, eh?
Anyways, thanks for reading this and remember: good things happen, they are just too lazy to arrive fast.
